Conditions like these are rare. If you are interesting in detecting my company supplies detectors and cordless headphones. www.scottishmetaldetectors.com Remember always detect on land upon which permission to detect has been given by the owner. All significant finds in Scotland must be offered to the Treasure Trove unit who pay market rates for articles / objects claimed. These objects are then displayed in museums.

National Council for Metal Detecting will have the best information if you google it [ I believe ] The two magazines Treasure Hunter and The Searcher will also have web sites. I also approach farmers for permission and send finds to the National Museum of Scotland. They pay you for interesting items and the funds are 50 50 shared with the farmer. David.

National Council for metal detecting web site has the rules and the magazines Treasure Hunter and The Searcher will have web sites that may help. Our web site www.scottishmetaldetectors.com has some of the best value detectors in the UK plus we offer good second hand machines.
The main rule is only detect with the landowners permission and split any treasure by money value 50 / 50 % with the owner.-
