Getting a new angle on old subject presents a challenge. In this case a wide angle lens allowed me to come in close to daffodils growing on the river bank and yet to have the castle in focus. This therefore required a small aperture and flash to light the flowers. It took many attempts to avoid bleaching out the blue sky as the light contrasts were so great.Another problem was the steep bank prevented use of a tripod and many times left me sliding towards the river.
