My son was married last year at this small church at Dunlichity which is about 8 miles from Daviot up a single track road and in the middle of a farming community. Daviot is itself only a small hamlet so you get the picture of the isolated site near lochs and burns and hills. 
Can any bloggers tell me where the smallest church in Britain is located? I vaguely recollect that at Wasdale Head in the Lake District there is also a tiny church.
I have no idea but there is a lovely and very tiny one in the grounds of Babington House (coincidentally also near Frome) which is owned by Soho House - the trendy club for the cool and the groovy. I don't know how often it is used now but it only used to have a service once a year at Christmas. There was no electricity and the whole place was lit by candles taken along by the congregation. It was magical.
This is a lovely picture. What a beautiful place for a wedding. Something special instead of the extragavanzas that are dominating the scene especially in the states.

Bremilham Church, on a farm at Foxley-cum-Bremilham near Malmesbury, Wiltshire, measures just 4m by 3.6m.
Its single pew has space for four people and there is standing room for six more.
The church, which is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the smallest church in service in Britain, holds one service to mark Rogationtide.

We have a local church north of here, in the Adirondack mountains--it literally is just a small (real) log cabin chapel in the pines, on a mountain, in a lay-by on the main road to Fort Ticonderoga/Lake Champlain. I always thought it would be lovely having a wedding there.

I live near one outside Frome that sounds very similar to the one you mention up a long farm track. I got out to have a look and within minutes a farmer appeared to ask could he help me (ie. what the hell was I doing there!)
